I can totally understand that, but don't really experience it myself, even though I identify as queer. I live in NYC, which has the highest percentage of gays in the world and most overall, so while I don't get the same thrills from seeing gay couples since I spot them pretty often, it makes me feel a bit jubilant by virtue of gay fact that they're not living a heteronormative lifestyle and, though we lead very different lives, we are alike in our 'abnormal' sexuality.
